The 12th season of Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino will be a little more vivid this year with the addition of a new, LED video display. Indiana Grand’s race course utilized the winter months to implement several new upgrades and additions, including the installation of a new state-of-the-art 10mm LED video display board, that has become the centerpiece on the tote board in the infield of the race course. The video display will enhance all television production from the facility and offer a larger than life look at live racing, including Kentucky Derby Day Saturday, May 3. (more…)

Indiana Grand Guests, General Public Have New Local Dining Option

Indiana Grand Racing & Casino is giving a new look and feel to the Backstretch Café, located just outside the stable gate entrance to the barn area. The Backstretch Café, which is open to the public, will feature a new menu that will focus on both American and Mexican fare, giving guests a wide variety of options throughout the day. (more…)

Indiana Racetrack Casinos and OTBs Expect Thousands on Nation’s Biggest Race Day

April 24, 2014 –Central Indiana’s racetrack casinos expect large crowds for the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 3. Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in Shelbyville, Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Anderson, and their signature off-track betting facility, the Winner’s Circle Pub, Grille & OTB in downtown Indianapolis, will welcome racing fans for a day of racing, entertainment, dining, and Kentucky Derby themed festivities. April 18, 2014 – Indiana Grand Racing & Casino is stepping into a new light in the horse racing industry. Beginning Tuesday, May 6, the facility located in Shelbyville, Ind. will race under a new name, logo and color scheme featuring shades of gold for the 120 day Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse meet. In those 120 days, more than $4 million will be offered over 35 stakes with more than $1.5 million available for Quarter Horse stakes. (more…)

April 12, 2014 – He may not have led the way during the entire contest, but Roger Browning found the right stride in the late stages of the 2014 Road to the Derby contest at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino, winning the grand prize of $2,000 during the final leg of the competition Saturday, April 12. Browning completed the contest, which had participation from 237 different players, with a total of 46 points, six more than a trio of players who finished in second place. The contest was conducted over a 10-week span. (more…)
