Indiana Grand Racing & Casino’s free concert series continues Friday with a performance by Exile and Juice Newton. The monthly concert series, which started in January, will bring a total of five acts to the casino’s Center Bar stage through May. All concerts are open to the public ages 21 years or older.

Known for blending the music styles of rock and country music, Exile has charted hits in both genres. Originally starting as one of Dick Clark’s ‘Caravan of Stars’ in the early 1960s, Exile played backup for the likes of Freddy Cannon, Bryan Hyland and B.J. Thomas before branching out on their own. Exile’s discography includes a string of hits such as “Kiss You All Over,” “Woke Up In Love,” and “Give Me One More Chance.”

The concert series, which started in January, will bring a total of five acts to the casino’s Center Bar stage through May. All concerts are open to the public ages 21 years or older.

Indiana Grand Racing & Casino and the Hoosier Lottery are planning to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by setting a new Indiana record. The largest simultaneous Scratch-off lottery ticket session will be conducted at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. Guests on the casino floor will be part of history, and a new Indiana record, when they scratch their FREE $5 Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off tickets in unison.

A total of 1,500 Scratch-off tickets, courtesy of Indiana Grand Racing & Casino, will be distributed to Club Centaur Rewards members beginning at 3 p.m. in preparation for the record attempt. Membership is required in Club Centaur Rewards to participate and is FREE to guests 21 and older and may be obtained on location.

Indiana Grand Racing & Casino celebrated the nomination of two team members Thursday, March 5 for the 2015 Recognition of Service Excellence (ROSE) Awards. Ray Craft, security officer, and Adele Ekeblad, staff accountant, were each recognized for their outstanding community service and were officially announced as two of 103 individuals in the region nominated for the 2015 honor.

“Both of our very special team members nominated are former ‘Team Members of the Month’ at Indiana Grand,” said Jim Brown, president and chief operating officer of Centaur Gaming and general manager of Indiana Grand. “They are examples of setting the bar high in both customer service as well as their personal lives. And, customer service extends not only to our outside customers, but internal customers as well. These individuals have displayed exceptional service in both areas.”

Brown was joined by Anna Hurst, director of finance, and Greg Dhaene, director of security, for the announcement and recognition of both Ekeblad and Craft. In addition, members of the ROSE Award organization, Missy Berg and Marshawn Wolley, were on hand to present Ekeblad and Craft with a red rose vase along with a ROSE Award service pin.
