Ron Baumann, Senior Vice President & General Manager
A casino industry veteran of over 25 years, Ron Baumann began his career with Harrah’s (Caesars) in 2000 as Vice President of Food & Beverage at Harrah’s Atlantic City. He was promoted to Assistant General Manager at Caesars Atlantic City, and then served as Assistant General Manager at Bally’s Atlantic City. Ron was instrumental in leading the integration efforts at both properties following the acquisition of Caesars Entertainment.
In 2003, Ron received the company’s prestigious Excellence in Leadership Award and over the course of his career he has earned a reputation for creating positive energy and outstanding results around customer and employee engagement. As a General Manager of Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack, Ron led the property from last place to first place in employee and supervisor satisfaction and also won the coveted number one ranking for the “Best Place to Work Award” for all Philadelphia area businesses. Ron went on to become the Regional President over both Harrah’s Philadelphia and Horseshoe Baltimore where he and his team continued to produce outstanding results and greatly improved performance at the Horseshoe.
Prior to re-joining the Caesars family, Ron served as COO of Rush Street Gaming and most recently his own consulting company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MBA from Villanova University.
Jon Schuster, Vice President and General Manager of Racing
As Vice President and General Manager of Racing for Indiana Grand Racing & Casino, Jon Schuster oversees all racing related operations at the Shelbyville, Indiana racetrack. Jon has been with the company since 2002 as part of the initial team that opened Indiana Downs. He was promoted to General Manager in February, 2003.
He has held leadership positions in the horse racing industry for over 20 years, including positions at Penn National Race Course in Pennsylvania as Pari-mutuel Manager and Simulcast Coordinator prior to accepting the position at Indiana Downs.
In 2013, Centaur Gaming, Inc. acquired Indiana Downs, which now operates as Indiana Grand Race Course, and he was promoted to Vice President & General Manager of Racing.
Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Arizona and is a graduate of the prestigious University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program.
Jon was appointed by the governor to serve on the Thoroughbred Breed Development Advisory Committee and is a board member of the Indiana Horse Racing Association. He was also recently inducted into the Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association Hall of Distinction.
