Ambrosia kicks off 2015 free concert series
Indiana Grand Racing & Casino will be lighting up the Center Bar Stage over the next five months with some favorite bands of the past. The 2015 Legends of Rock Free Concert Series will kick off with two performances by Ambrosia on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 8 and 9:30 p.m. All shows are free to guests 21 years of age and older.
Performing together since 1970, Ambrosia produced five Top 40 hit singles from 1975 to 1980. Their most noted song is “Biggest Part of Me” with other notable songs including “How Much I Feel” and “You’re the Only Woman.”
The headline act for February will be Restless Heart, who rolls into town Saturday, Feb. 14 for a special Valentine’s Day concert. Inspired by country-rock sounds, Restless Heart has been performing for 31 years, cranking out hits such as “I’ll Still Be Loving You,” “Bluest Eyes in Texas” and “When She Cries.” Restless Heart will take the stage at 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m., playing two sets for guests on the casino floor enjoying Valentine’s Day at Indiana Grand.
Other upcoming groups already confirmed for the 2015 Concert Series at Indiana Grand include Exile with Juice Newton for one show at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, Sha-Na-Na with two shows Saturday, April 18 and Gary US Bonds for two sets Saturday, May 9.
The 2015 Legends of Rock Concert Series will focus on one main act each month. The sights and sounds of the bands coming in can be viewed from several vantage points off the casino floor, which will accommodate many different types of concert goers. In addition to the live entertainment, each weekend will provide a drink special.
