Auditions being accepted for Grand Voice

Indiana Grand Racing & Casino is now accepting a cappella auditions for season two of the Grand Voice, a singing competition with a grand prize of $5,000 and an opportunity to perform live at Indiana Grand. Video submissions and registration must be received by Friday, April 6. The grand finale will take place on Friday, May 18.

Singers may audition by submitting a live a cappella video from a smart phone or camera and uploading it to The Grand Voice Facebook page from Indiana Grand Racing & Casino’s Facebook link. Videos must include a verse and chorus, and be no more than 90 seconds in length. Video submissions must be accompanied with the official registration form found on Indiana Grand’s website at All videos must be solo performances and participants are required to be 21 years or older with a valid I.D.

Audition videos and registration forms must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 6. Selected contestants will compete in the preliminaries on Friday, April 20, April 27, or May 4. The top three contestants in each round will win $100 in casino cash and advance to the semi-finals on Friday, May 11.

At the Friday, May 18 finale, the top five semi-finalists will perform two songs of their choice accompanied by the Indiana Grand house band, Cook & Belle. One contestant will be named The Grand Voice, winning $5,000 in cash and the opportunity to perform live at Indiana Grand. Other prizes include $1,500 for second place and $750 for third place.

Derrick Williams of Indianapolis was the inaugural winner of the Grand Voice held on May 19, 2017. Williams took home $5,000 and performed live at Indiana Grand’s Indiana Derby on July 15.
