Indiana Grand launches 2018 SCUFFY campaign

Indiana Grand Racing & Casino launched their 2018 Shelby County United Fund for You (SCUFFY) fundraising campaign this month. The charitable drive includes a Give $10 Get $10 casino promotion through March 31 and a SCUFFY game show fundraiser on Sunday, April 8.

SCUFFY helps improve the quality of life in Shelby County by donating funds to thirteen area organizations to benefit youth, seniors, and families in need. In 2017, Indiana Grand raised $45,363 for SCUFFY.

During Indiana Grand’s Give $10, Get $10 event, guests over the age of 21 who make a contribution of $10 or more to SCUFFY will receive $10 in free slot play as a thank you for their contribution. The promotion continues through March 31.

Indiana Grand is also presenting a special SCUFFY game show fundraiser on Sunday, April 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Indiana Grand team members will have the opportunity to compete in “Battle of the Grand” and “The Cost is Kosher,” games similar to the popular TV shows Family Feud and The Price is Right.

The game show event will be held in the Race Course Clubhouse. Soft drinks, hotdogs, beer, and wine will be available for $1 each. Team members and the public are welcome to attend. An admission fee of $1 per person and other proceeds will be donated to SCUFFY.

Additional Indiana Grand fundraising efforts include team member payroll deduction pledge cards, an inter-departmental change war, and a team member treasure sale benefitting SCUFFY.

“Indiana Grand is a proud supporter of SCUFFY. Our commitment to this wonderful organization helps make a difference in our community by assisting thirteen different agencies in the Shelby County area,” said Deannette Pryor, director of human resources at Indiana Grand. “It’s so gratifying to see our team members join in to help those in need. We have a great group of people at Indiana Grand. We give back, that’s just what we do.”
