Indiana Grand Racing & Casino and Hoosier Lottery will team up once again to establish a new Indiana state record for most scratch-off tickets revealed during a special St. Patrick's Day celebration at Indiana Grand Tuesday, March 17, 2015.

Indiana Grand Racing & Casino and Hoosier Lottery will team up once again to establish a new Indiana state record for most scratch-off tickets revealed during a special St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Indiana Grand Tuesday, March 17, 2015.

A total of 1,500 Scratch-off tickets, courtesy of Indiana Grand Racing & Casino, will be distributed to Club Centaur Rewards members beginning at 3 p.m. in preparation for the record attempt. Membership is required in Club Centaur Rewards to participate and is FREE to guests 21 and older and may be obtained on location.

St. Patrick’s Day could be extra lucky for some participants. The featured Scratch-off ticket that participants will receive is the new $5,000 a Month 20 Years of Cash game. It is part of the Hoosier Lottery’s new 20 Years of Cash family of Scratch-off games and offers top prizes of $5,000 a month, every single month, for 20 Years. The $5 game boasts a total prize payout of more than $30 million, including more than 70,000 prizes of $50 and $100.

“We are excited to partner with the Hoosier Lottery once again in this unique endeavor and get this event registered as a record for the state of Indiana,” said Elena Lisle, director of marketing at Indiana Grand. “We teamed up with Hoosier Lottery for a similar giveaway at the end of 2014, and the response from our Club Centaur Rewards members was overwhelming. In addition to receiving a free lottery ticket, guests really enjoyed taking part in setting a state record. Therefore, we wanted to bring back this popular promotion. It is a great way to enhance the entire St. Patrick’s Day experience for our guests at Indiana Grand.”

Indiana Grand Racing & Casino rang in the New Year with a similar event when they successfully set an Indiana record on Dec. 31, 2014. That event saw 1,000 lucky casino guests scratch their Hoosier Lottery tickets in unison. The casino hopes to shatter that record on St. Patrick’s Day when they will up the ante as 1,500 guests scratch off their FREE $5 Hoosier Lottery tickets in unison.

In addition to the FREE Scratch-off tickets, Indiana Grand’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will provide 20 ounce green domestic drafts throughout the day for only $3 and will enhance the popular Market Buffet with several Irish-inspired items, including bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, Guinness Stew and Shepherd’s Pie. The event will be capped off with live entertainment provided by Ripple Effect, one of Central Indiana’s favorite party and dance bands, who will be performing beginning at 6 p.m. from Center Bar Stage.
