Seasonal Job Fair offered at Indiana Grand
Indiana Grand Racing & Casino is providing three seasonal job fair sessions to explore employment opportunities for the upcoming 2017 racing season, which begins Tuesday, April 18. The seasonal Job Fair is set for Thursday, March 9, Sunday, March 12 and Monday, March 13, encompassing several dates and time frames to make it convenient for all potential applicants.
The seasonal Job Fair will provide prospective applicants the opportunity to get involved in a fun, fast-paced atmosphere that has become one of the top entertainment destinations in Central Indiana. Numerous positions are available for the upcoming 15th racing season of Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse action, including mutuel tellers, trackside maintenance, trackside security and equine facility EVS.
“We will offer on site interviews for the open positions during these three seasonal job fair sessions,” said Jennifer Hudon-Terrell, human resources development manager. “Indiana Grand is a wonderful company to be part of and offers many perks, so we hope those who are interested in joining our team will take advantage of these seasonal Job Fair sessions.”
Applicants must be 16 years of age to be considered for a position at Indiana Grand on the racing side of the business. Many departments will be hiring in the coming weeks, including security, food and beverage, mutuel tellers, maintenance and track personnel, housekeeping, race meet positions, barn area attendants, and even a position as the company’s mascot, Grand Daddy. A representative from many of these departments will be on hand to explain in detail specific duties and responsibilities for the positions available.
Other added bonuses for team members at Indiana Grand include the opportunity to earn PTO (personal time off) for part-time positions. In addition, Indiana Grand provides a referral awards program, on-site healthcare clinic, team member dining room, and exciting team member events, rewarding those who work so hard to put on the show.
The first session is scheduled Thursday, March 9 from 5PM – 8PM with additional sessions held Sunday, March 12 from 1PM – 4PM and Monday, March 13 from 5PM – 8PM. All sessions will be held in the Human Resources Training Center located on the first level of the racing building, just behind the Family Pavilion. Potential candidates may park in the parking garage or on the South Surface parking lot and take the shuttle to the first floor trackside.
“Indiana Grand is a high energy work environment that offers a fun and exciting workplace,” added Hudon-Terrell. “Our facility is adjacent to I-74, making the commute to work very easy and accessible for potential candidates from every direction. We would love to talk with anyone interested in exploring job opportunities at Indiana Grand.”
